Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager with 5+ years of experience to oversee the procurement of materials and services for our infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent vendor management skills, and a proven track record of successful negotiations. Experience with road and railway projects is highly desirable.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Identify and source materials and services from qualified vendors, conducting thorough research and due diligence.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors, securing competitive rates and favorable conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the entire procurement cycle, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Stay informed about market trends and industry best practices in procurement.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a Master’s degree from a reputed college would be desired.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement within the infrastructure industry.
  • Proven experience in procuring materials for road and/or railway projects (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Construction domain expertise 
  • ERP systems knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to relocate.
